Paul was born and raised in Streaky Bay, spending his youth on a farming property where he developed his practical hands on work knowledge and ethic. Paul completed his secondary education in Adelaide at Unley High School, successfully passing all PES subjects at Year 12 level. After completing Year 12, Paul was offered a position in a Chartered Accounting Practice which he took up. While working full time, Paul also completed his accounting studies by correspondence.
After 10 years with the Accounting/Financial Planning Firm working predominantly in the areas of Audit, Business Review, Corporate Structuring and Taxation, Paul has gained invaluable knowledge in successful business operation.
Paul left the accounting practice to join his family in their operation as Managers (14 years) of a large and popular seaside Caravan Park. He spent the last three years as Resident Manager of this operation whilst also being a partner in the scallop fishing business and being involved from the outset in the research and subsequent formation of the abalone farm concept.
For the past five years Paul has overseen the development of the Abalone Farm from it’s infancy to the stage where the project is now ready to undertake a significant expansion to realise the commercial potential of the business.
Paul understands and appreciates the intricate planning and budgeting required for successful businesses and the positive flow on effects increased business activity brings for this region. |
